William and Ulrich Phone call

I sat in Odd and I's shared dorm room idly petting Kiwi when my phone rang. Due to the fact that my friends and I had been fighting Xana for a very long time I picked up the phone without checking the caller ID.

"Hello" An all too familiar voice rang on the other side in a happy tone I groaned at the sound, some people did not know how to take a hike.

"Go away William" I hissed, I don't know why I didn't hang up right then. Maybe because I knew he would call back, maybe because I was so bored half of me wanted to hear what he had to say.

"Just listen" I smiled at the fact that the smile in the voice was gone, maybe he was taking this seriously for once. I stopped petting Kiwi and he jumped effortlessly off of the bed.

"Ok" There was a short pause, I was sure this was because he was shocked that I had yet to hang up and I was going to listen to what he had to say.

"Really? That's a first" The smile returned and my thumb inched towards the off button I should have known he didn't have anything to say. The guy was constantly calling me just to piss me off since he somehow he got my number-I swear whoever gave it to him was going to pay-and he never said anything significant.

"Bye William" I replied coolly and hung up on him, before relaxing back on my bed having not realized just how tense the call had made me. Great now the jerk was trying to send me to an early grave via stress. As if on cue my phone rang again, I picked it up again cursing my habit as I did so.

"Ulrich-"

"Will you stop calling me!?"

"If you just listen-"

"Who gave you my number?"

"Odd, just listen I-"

"Odd!? He is so dead!"

"That's not the point-"

"Not the point? Now have you constantly harassing me!"

"..."

"..."

"Done?"

"Yeah"

"Would you care to know why I am "harassing" you?"

"Yes!"

"I love you" I hung up again,he really couldn't take anything seriously. Part of my mind suggested that he was serious, my heart skipped a beat at this, and I waved it off as ridiculous. My phone rang again but I ignored it putting it beside my bed and trying to get some sleep. After awhile it was apparent that William was not giving in I was tempted to turn my phone off but I couldn't-Xana could attack at any moment-
so I gave in and answered it.

"What?"

"Why did you hang up on me"

"Because I'm not in the mood to deal with your jokes"

"What if it wasn't a joke?" I felt my face flush, this was getting crazy.

"...but it was"

"It wasn't"

"You hate me"

"I never said that, not once-i'd be lying if I did"

"Let's say I do believe you, what now?"

"One of two things. You hang up again rejecting me. Or you say you love me back and we talk"

"And those are the only two options?"

"Pretty much" I smiled slyly at this.

"I love you too" I said quickly before hanging up, the phone didn't ring again that night.
